Friday Fun Fact

What I thought was a conference became a super spreader event.

I went for the workshops and came back with a cold.

Quite a few of my coworkers are still sick

Not cool.

Downtown Philly

A couple weeks ago, we were lucky to visit Downtown Philly. We didn’t tour the Liberty Bell or Independence Hall, but did see the sites including Reading Market, the Magic Gardens and the Museum of the American Revolution.

An Art Exhibit on restoring the rights of ex- cons. We got to meet the artists too.
independence hall with the art exhibition in the foreground
Quaker meeting house
Ben Franklin’s grave
Very realistic statues depicting scenes from the revolution
The magic gardens

The trip was a great blend of family and history.

Until next time, stay healthy.

Friday Fun Fact

At her funeral, my youngest would like the flowers thrown into the attendees to find out who will be next.

Like a barbarian

The other day I went rogue and just threw tea leaves in the pot.

After it finished brewing, I did strain it through a fine mesh than drank it from a china teacup.

It was nice to change things up, too bad I didn’t have someone to read my tea leaves.

Until next time, stay healthy.

Maker Monday

I made this album for my cousin. It took a couple weeks but I love the way it turned out.

I hope she likes it. Until next time, stay healthy.

Stuff

Recently, we started watching a guy that explores abandoned places, usually with the owner’s stuff still in place.

Sure, sometimes the guy does paranormal investigations, but the thing I find most horrifying is the amount of stuff left behind.

These are treasures of loved ones—photographs, cards, and mementos of a life lived that are left to rot in place.

Then I look around and realize—I’ve got a lot of stuff.

Part of me thinks it’s time to clean house, but then I remember I am a dragon and this is my treasure horde. Bwahahaha.

Until next time, stay healthy.

Abandonment issues

Here I go again. Abandoning a writing project because it is associated with the death of a loved one.

I hate that I am letting it go, but there is too much association with the pain of my sister’s passing.

I tell myself that I can always come back to it later, maybe when the pain isn’t so much shattered glass.

But I don’t know if it is true.

And frankly, giving up writing is also a thought that I am seriously considering.

Although, I think I have decided to continue to write. I am not sure what it will look like.

Until next time, stay healthy.
